Postdoctoral opportunity at IFCA with "La Caixa Junior Leader" program

The Institute of Physics of Cantabria, as the María de Maeztu Unit, is one of the institutions that can host in its different post-doctoral research groups financed with the "La Caixa Junior Leader" grants.


"La Caixa Junior Leader" post-doctoral grant program is aimed at hiring researchers of any nationality who wish to continue their research career in Spain or Portugal in the area of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). It provides three-year contracts to researchers to develop a research project in Centres with the distinction of Severe Excellence Ochoa or María de Maeztu. The IFCA, as the María de Maeztu Unit, is one of the institutions that can host post-doctoral research groups financed by these grants. 


There are 45 post-doctoral scholarships divided into two categories that will last for 3 years, between April and September 2021. "La Caixa Junior Leader" scholarships seek to consolidate research skills and promote independent scientific careers as future options and are endowed with a competitive salary plus additional funds for research expenses. 


Candidates to join the IFCA team must have scientific experience in the areas of galaxies and NGA, particle physics, meteorology, non-linear systems, computing  o cosmology.


Applications should be made on the La Caixa website. Candidates interested in applying should contact a member of the IFCA working in the nearest research field.
