"ENGRAMMER: An AI Platform for Assisted Memory and Active Learning"

How can artificial intelligence and neuroscience transform the way we retain personal memories and learn new concepts? This talk presents Engrammer, a project devoted to developing neuroscience-inspired applications for assisted memory and active education. We will explore how the platform serves two different communities: individuals looking to safeguard their personal history and stimulate cognitive health (Engrammer Recuerda), and educators seeking to improve student engagement through historical scenarios (Engrammer Aprende). With a strict emphasis on user privacy, the project handles all interactions within a private cloud infrastructure while actively exploring the future possibilities of running these models directly on-device using innovative Liquid Time-Constant (LTC) networks.
Presented by researchers from the Advanced Computing and e-Science group at IFCA, including: David Rodríguez, who holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cantabria; Saúl Fernández Tobías, who received his BS and MsC degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Cantabria; Marta Obregón who also received BS and MsC degrees in Computer Engineering; Eloy González Trueba, who obtained a PhD in Modern History; and María Peña, who holds a degree in Mathematics and Physics as well as a Master’s degree in Data Science, and is currently developing her doctoral thesis focused on the construction of biologically viable artificial intelligence models.

The talk will take place in the Luis Pesquera Room at IFCA at 12:00. Coffee will be served beforehand at 11:45.

*We encourage all IFCA staff, postdocs, thesis supervisors, and others to attend.
