Project

AYA2011-29517-C03-02 Evolution of Galaxies: high-redshift quasars

The main aims of this project are (1) to identify high-redshift (>4) quasars in order to study the evolution of matter in the Universe and (2) to study  the physics of quasars by observing Broad Absorption Line (BAL) quasars. Searches are based on large-area surveys such as FIRST (20cm), SDSS (ugriz), UKIDSS (YJHK), WISE (3-22 microns).
