ARCHES : Astronomical Resource Cross-matching for High Energy Studies (FP7-SPACE-2012-I 313146)

ARCHES will focus on the X-ray survey catalogue data from the XMM-Newton mission. New tools will bedeveloped for cross-correlation with extensive archival resources, producing well-characterised multi-wavelengthdata in the form of spectral energy distributions for large sets of objects. These enhanced resources willsignificantly broaden the effective exploitation of the data by the scientific community in the exploration of a widerange of forefront astrophysical questions. The Principal Investigator of this project is Dr. C. Motch from the Observatoire Astronomique de Strasbourg (Université de Strasbourg, France). The other partners are the Centre de Donnés Stellaires (also from the Université de Strasbourg), the University of Leicester (UK), the Leibnitz Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam (Germany) and the Centro de Astrobiología (CSIC-INTA, Spain).

The local PI at IFCA (UC-CSIC) is Dr. Francisco J. Carrera, and Drs. Almudena Alonso and Silvia Mateos also participate in the project.
