F. J. Casas works at IFCA (Instituto de Física de Cantabria) in the
Observational Cosmology and Instrumentation group. His activity is
related basically with the technical viability study, design,
calibration and test of the various receiver configurations for the CMB
polarization measurement and detection. He work in the 30 GHz QUIJOTE
experiment instrument development (http://arxiv.org/abs/0810.3141) and important results related to the radiometer circuits behaviour have been achieved (http://link.aip.org/link/RSINAK/v81/i7/p074704/s1).
F. J. Casas works with DICOM in the design, development and test of
the 30 GHz QUIJOTE receivers but also in the electrical and
electromagnetic instrument simulations to prove the specifications
accomplishment. Measurement tests at 20 and 300 K have been performed.
He has participated also in a technology transfer viability study
funded by MST Aerospace GMBH (“Transfer of 30-40 GHz bow-tie antenna
arrays technology from astrophysical applications to civilian markets”)
written by Moher Technologies (Contract number 08.12.FSP.POC-IFCA_MOHER)
by means of the “Permanent Open Call for Technology Transfer
Feasibility Study Proposals”.
He works also in the development of an analogical version of a
wide-band correlator for an interferometer pathfinder that can give
place also to technology transference to automotive and aeronautics
radar applications.
