[ATENEO] Talk at the Ateneo: "Light, measure of all things" given by Jose M. Saiz Vega at 19:30

Start date: 17/05/2019 00:00 End date: 17/05/2019 21:30

  • The speed of light is a well-known physical constant. In addition to the great implications of the fact that there is a limit speed, this constant has become an absolute reference, a true pattern of measurement.
  • Its value, gigantic for the human scale, has turned its measure into a conquest of science, carried out through centuries of effort.
  • Even today, with better tools, it is a challenge to try to repeat some of the experiments that historically led to their obtaining.
